The Fundraising Journey Update 15.09.26
The fundraising journey is still on its longest leg and with Clipper requiring a payment every month of just over £6.5k. It is a huge task just to get on the yacht but as you can see, we are getting Cameron there, every donation, every socials share really matters. As usual the map illustrates the progress so far, as you can see the first part of the voyage is to make it to Portsmouth and on to the clipper for the start of the race.
Financially this part of the journey is the largest cost as it includes the cost of mandatory training, purchase of equipment and specialist clothing, insurance, transport to and from training and accommodation during that time.
We at Cameron's shore base will keep you updated on this blog as to progress of the fundraising journey, eventually moving on to larger maps.
With a Voyage of roughly 40,000 miles to go it works out at just over £2 per mile so we have a long way to go. Your help is needed not just by donating but just as important, sharing his story, that one person that you reach out to may well donate and or share and so the journey goes on.
